Non-woven, needle punching

1.9

Description

Non-woven fabrics (Fleece) can be produced directly from polymers like polypropylene, polyester, polyamide, polyethylene etc. using the spunbond process. Needle punched nonwovens are created by mechanically orienting and interlocking the fibers of a spunbonded or carded web. This mechanical interlocking is achieved with thousands of barbed felting needles repeatedly passing into and out of the web.
