Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) plastic, fossil fuel based

30.3

Description

Production of PTFE using fluorocarbons -Polytetrafluoroethylene is a stable and inert synthetic fluoropolymer with a composition of carbon and fluorine. PTFE is used for durable waterproof barriers in apparel and in a wide variety of products including medical devices, communications technology and energy efficient transportation.
