Wet and dry process
11.5
Description
The materials consisting of polyurethane (PU) resin, solvent (Dimethylformamide, DMF), activator, color and surfactants are mixed and the textile is passed through the solution to make the resin enter into the textile. Afterwards passed through a coagulation bath that exchanges DMF and water followed by rollers to press out the water. The product enters a drying process.Polyurethane (PU) resin, solvent (Dimethylformamide, DMF), activator, color and surfactants are mixed, coated on release paper, and dried. The texture of the release paper is mirrored on the laminate layer and ends up on the final product. This laminate is coated onto the prepared non-woven textile and passed through oven to bond to textile. Mechanical treatment is giving the surface a final look, e.g. suede surface.
