Description
This process is based on an average of equally weighted cow hides from Brazil and the US. Animal husbandry, including feed inputs, manure management, and enteric fermentation are considered. Land use carbon emissions are excluded. Economic allocation is used to assign the impacts across the products derived from cattle. Allocation to leather is 3.6%.
