This process represents .8 kg of a 70% polyester/30% nylon blend. The additional 20% of the synthetic leather material is found in the coating phase. For nylon, data are from the Eco-profiles of the European plastics industry (PlasticsEurope). Technology represents production out of hexamethylene diamine and adipic acid. For polyester, data are based on the average unit process from the Eco-profiles of the European plastics industry. Average data for the production of amorphous PET out of ethylene glycol and PTA.
