Description

The Cotton Made in Africa (CmiA) standards with social, environmental, and economic criteria were designed to improve the living conditions of African smallholder farmers and promote environmentally friendly cotton production. CmiA reduces the impact of chemical use in cotton fiber production through the following ways: Worker Occupational Health & Safety (-3 points): Chemical Use Efficiency (-3 points): Chemical Emissions Reduction (-3 points)
