Viscose/Rayon (generic), regenerated cellulose from wood pulp

23.9

Description

Generic Viscose/Rayon (regenerated cellulose through cellulose xanthate -from wood pulp)- Fiber production is taking place in different viscose producing countries in the world and Pulp from different regions of the world consisting of different wood species catering to Man-made cellulose industry in the world. Electricity is from grids of the viscose producing countries and energy for steam is based on the most used source in those countries, i.e. predominantly fossil based . Wood sources: Eucalyptus, spruce, beech, birch and other hardwoods (no data available for cotton linters and bamboo). Non-integrated production i.e. Pulp and fiber are manufactured in different locations or facilities.
