Injection molding
3.7
Description
Injection molding is done by injecting a material, typically plastic, into a mold to form a part. The material is first heated, and then injected into a pre-made mold. The part is then cooled and trimmed. This process includes data for energy and water inputs. Data for mold production are excluded.
